Aviones ('Planes', Klay Hall, 2013) es un spin-off de la película de animación de 2006 Cars. Pixar Animation Studios, el equipo de producción de Cars, no producirá esta película.
En su lugar, será producida por DisneyToon Studios.

Creada inicialmente para ser lanzada como un corto de película, fue estrenada en los cines porWalt Disney Studios el 9 de agosto de 2013. Pasé un buen rato al verla, fan como soy y he sido del cine de animación… aunque es verdad que Pixar no está en sus mejores momentos (la cinta no es de Pixar aunque Lasseter está presente en ella).

Cine familiar y de familia, entretenido y ejecutado correctamente. Echo de menos Nemos, Ratatouilles, Walles… Quizá se les hayan congelado las neuronas a los brillantes creadores de Luxo, aunque no creo. habrá que tener fe.
